Fans of 'Yellowstone' will be disappointed to learn that Kevin Costner no longer supports the idea of a sequel.
As the family boss "John Dutton," Kevin Costner has become the highest-paid series actor in the world, recently raking in up to $1.3 million per episode.
Kevin Costner (68) may soon receive money from his estranged wife if the alimony decreases. The actor and his experienced legal team, which includes renowned lawyer Laura Wasser, can consider their appearance in court in Santa Barbara (California) last Friday as a financial success. After two days of intense negotiations, the court granted his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner (49) only around $65,000 per month in maintenance. This is less than half the previous amount of around $129,000 and only a quarter of the original demand Baumgartner wanted after 18 years of marriage. Baumgartner justified her claims by referring to their three children (aged 16, 14, and 13) and her standard of living, which she believes must be maintained. She lives in a rented furnished house that costs $40,000 monthly.

However, Costner's lawyers manipulated the asset overview, which may interest fans of the popular series "Yellowstone." Baumgartner demanded a monthly six-figure dollar sum based on Costner's income from the past few years. According to documents, Costner's most prosperous time as a series actor was playing the role of family patriarch "John Dutton" in the Western series. Allegedly, he earned over 1.3 million dollars per month.
While working in "Yellowstone," Costner earned substantial money but never made more than $500,000. This show was a pivotal and successful point in his career. However, rumors suggest that he may not be able to continue for a sixth season of "Yellowstone" due to plans to increase the number of episodes to 14 per year.

During the court case, the money he made from the show must be considered when calculating maintenance. Baumgartner's lawyers argued that the children should have a similar luxurious lifestyle to their father's, but the court didn't agree. According to California law, the children of separated partners don't have to have the same standard of living as their parents.
Christine Baumgartner is now receiving a monthly income of 65,000 Dollars, which is reasonable.
