The Palm Springs International 34th Film Festival annual lineup features some of the most prominent artists, filmmakers, and performers of our time. Held in the Coachella Valley region of Southern California, this festival will feature films from around the world, including more than 130 premieres. With over 135,000 attendees annually, it's one of the largest film festivals in North America. The honorees for its 34th edition are. Colin Farrell, Sarah Polley, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Yeoh, Austin Butler, Viola Davis, Bill Nighy, Danielle Deadwyler, and Brendan Fraser.

Kyle Marvin-directed 80 for Brady, starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field, produced by NFL superstar Tom Brady, will touch down in Palm Springs on Jan. 6.
A few notable titles set to be screened at the festival include the upcoming "Shot in the Arm," an anti-vax documentary, and the world premiere of the film 80 for Brady, about four best friends who travel to the Super Bowl to watch Tom Brady play. Director Kyle Marvin's film will feature Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Academy Award nominee Lily Tomlin.
Other festival highlights include Michelle Yeo's breakout performance in A24's Everything Everywhere All at Once and the world premiere of Stephen Williams' "Chevalier." "Chevalier" will also be screened for the first time in the U.S. This film has eight Spirit Awards nominations.
The 2023 Palm Springs Film Festival will honor actress Danielle Deadwyler with the Breakthrough Performance Award, Actress. She was nominated for Best Actress by the Academy for her role in "Till." In addition, the Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actress, will be awarded to Cate Blanchett for her performance in "Tar."
Two-time Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson is set to be honored with the International Star Award, for Actress, in 2023. She has starred in numerous films, including "Empire" and "Hairspray LIVE!" and has been nominated for an Emmy and Grammy. Her most recent film is the biopic "Respect," which portrayed Aretha Franklin. Another Palm Springs International Film Festival honoree is the two-time BAFTA winner Colin Farrell. He is nominated for his work in "The Banshees of Inisherin" and will receive the Desert Palm Achievement Award.
Also, the festival will honor Brendan Fraser with a Spotlight Award for his performance in the new film "The Whale." It's based on Samuel D. Hunter's 2012 play about an obese English professor (Charlie) who makes a life-altering decision.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival will honor veteran actors and actresses like Penelope Cruz, who has been nominated for the Oscar for her role in "Babel." In addition, the Desert Palm Achievement Award will be awarded to Jennifer Hudson, who was nominated for "Dreamgirls" and "Monster."
Some other notable names in the Palm Springs International Film Festival's lineup are Andrew Garfield, nominated for his work in the film Tick...Tick...BOOM. Actresses Helen Mirren and Olivia Colman will also be honored with the Gena Award. These awards are named after the legendary Actress Gena Rowlands.
The festival's gala is from January 5 thru 16th at the Palm Springs Convention Center. This event will honor celebrated talents and films and be sponsored by American Express, IHG Hotels and Resorts, and Entertainment Tonight. Throughout the year, the festival will screen over 134 films from more than 60 countries and feature educational seminars and workshops.
