DLNews Stagecoach Festival:
Stagecoach Country Festival 2023 is kicking off and will take over Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, from April 28 to April 30. The three-day event will have something for everyone, featuring an all-star lineup of artists.
Superstars Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, and Chris Stapleton are among the headliners for the 2023 festival, but there is much more to enjoy. Jon Pardi, Old Dominion, Brooks & Dunn, Riley Green, Gabby Barrett, Parker McCollum, Tyler Childers, ZZ Top, BRELAND, Turnpike Troubadours, Bryan Adams, Elle King, Morgan Wade, and more will also perform at the music festival this year.
Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan is one of the top artists. He is known for his upbeat songs and booty-shaking dances. The singer started writing songs at 16 after two local songwriters noticed his talent and encouraged him to join their twice-a-week writing sessions at a church. He later graduated from high school and planned to move to Nashville to pursue a career in the industry. While pursuing his studies, he still had the time to write and lead his band, playing gigs at Skinner's and other community events. When his brother died in a car accident, he decided to stay in Georgia and support his family. While attending Georgia Southern University, Bryan began dating his future wife, Caroline Boyer. The two would go on to have two sons. In addition, they adopted two nieces and a nephew.
Kane Brown
Initially a budding R&B artist, Kane Brown quickly found his feet in the country genre. He started singing covers, posting them to Facebook, and steadily gaining attention. A big fan of Florida Georgia Line, he liked the duo's 2012 bro-country smash, "Cruise," a song that inspired him to explore the genre in earnest. He also delved into the work of Chris Young and branched out beyond country, sampling work by other genres to find his style. He topped the country charts with a debut album in 2016, with the singles "Ain't No Stopping Us Now" and "Thunder in the Rain." He later dropped two more hits, including "What Ifs" and "Heaven." A biracial singer, Brown blended hip-hop-influenced R&B with confessional pop to make his mark. His songs ranged from romantic slow jams to party numbers that would fit remixes and collaborations with Khalid and Marshmello. He defied country conventions, but his candidly emotional and autobiographical streak made him stand out among his peers.
Chris Stapleton
Born in Lexington, KY, Stapleton moved to Nashville in 2001 to pursue a career as a country singer. Before releasing his solo debut, Traveller, he was part of two bands in 2015. His version of 'Tennessee Whiskey' has become a huge hit and earned him critical acclaim. He has collaborated with artists such as Justin Timberlake, John Mayer, and Rage Against the Machine. He has won eight Grammy Awards, fourteen Academy of Country Music (ACM) awards and has been nominated for a record number of CMA awards. In addition to his solo albums, he has written and co-written songs for country stars, including Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, and Tim McGraw. Traveller was critically acclaimed and became the first country album to be certified four times platinum by the RIAA. He followed this up with two more studio albums, From a Room: Volume 1 and From a Room: Volume 2, which topped the Billboard top country albums chart.
Guy Fieri's Stagecoach Smokehouse returns for its fourth year at the event and will feature new chefs, pit bosses, and BBQ vendors. Guy will highlight regional favorites nationwide while his Pitmasters showcase their styles this year.
The Honky Tonk Dance Hall makes a return, too, and is curated by DJ, producer, and songwriter Diplo, who will curate his DJ sets for the nightclub. Lastly, High-Class Hillbilly owner and singer Nikki Lane will return to the YeeHaw tent with her exclusive Stage Stop Marketplace and Horseshoe Stage to highlight alt-country burgeoning artists.
The festival has a wide range of activities, so knowing where to go and what to do when you arrive is essential. You can find water refill stations, a Half Pint Hootenanny, Toyota Music Den, YeeHaw, and more throughout the venue.
Various restaurants will be on-site, offering a range of dishes and treats. There is also an extensive bar area with a wide selection of beer and cocktails.
Guests can enjoy many types of beer, cocktails, and drinks, including fresh squeezed lemonade, root beer floats, tea, coffee, kombucha, and other non-alcoholic options. Guests can also try various specialty foods, including barbecue and sweet treats.
Camping is an option for those attending the festival and is available on-site and offsite. The festival partners with local hotels to offer travel packages that include hotel stays, transportation, and admission tickets. Detailed information on campsites and rates can be found here.
What can I bring?
The temperature can get hot during the day, so bringing light T-shirts and shorts is a good idea. A hat is also a must, as it helps keep the sun out of your eyes.
What to Wear
The festival is known for its casual, comfortable, and laid-back atmosphere, so it is essential to wear appropriate clothes. Consider wearing a cowboy hat, a checked flannel shirt, and ripped jeans. You can also pack a hoodie or jacket to keep you warm during the colder parts of the festival, and sunglasses are recommended to help protect your face from the sun. You can also pack a pair of comfortable shoes for walking or dancing.
Head to the Saloon Denim Tuxedo night
Stagecoach has been an all-ages country music theme park for nearly a decade. Its three-day bill combines mainstream country with Americana, Southern rock, and Red Dirt country.
This year's festival will feature a new Denim Tuxedo night where attendees can dress up in their best denim and dance the night away. It will also include a barbecue experience celebrating regional BBQ favorites nationwide.
