Prince Charming without a dream purse - Harry and Meghan married in 2018, and two years later, they moved to the U.S.
DLNews Entertainment:
When Duchess Meghan (41) met her future husband, Prince Harry (39), she is said to have been less than happy about his financial situation. She believed he had billions in his account - and was proven wrong.
At least that's what author Tom Bower, who wrote the 2022 book "Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors," now claims.
"Her great surprise and disappointment were that Prince Harry had very little money," Bower told " DailyMail." However, Meghan was truly "obsessed with money," he added.
She had imagined he would be worth hundreds of millions, if not billions, and now she has to make up for that." And she does.
Today, Meghan lives just as she likes - in a mansion in Montecito near Los Angeles.
That's how rich the Sussexes have become through media deals:
First, the pair struck a deal with the audio streaming service Spotify for 23 million euros.
Their deal with streaming broadcaster Netflix was even more lucrative, which shelled out an estimated 94 million euros to collaborate on the documentary "Harry and Meghan," according to "Forbes."
For his memoir, Harry reportedly received another 37 million euros. Added to this are the proceeds from the three TV interviews Harry gave to publicize his biography.
A lifestyle, as Meghan had imagined, she could never achieve as a working member of the British royal family.
Today Harry (white shirt) and Meghan (black top, sunglasses, braid) travel only by private jet
Bower: "Meghan wants to ride in the big Cadillacs, the private jets on command. Right now, she has to scrape those things together for herself."
