DLNews Entertainment:
A visit to the dentist cost him his life!
As a child, he played alongside Hollywood stars such as Kiefer Sutherland (56), Cameron Diaz (51), and David Caruso (67) and had a promising career ahead of him. But life was not always kind to US star Evan Ellingson. On November 5, the actor was found lifeless in his bedroom in a residential facility for people with an addiction. The investigating authorities ruled out any outside influence. Ellingson was only 35 years old.

The cause of death has now been announced. The coroner in charge told the "L.A. Times" that Evan Ellingson died of an accidental fentanyl overdose.
Particularly tragic: Ellingson, who had long struggled with addiction problems, had previously been clean for three years. However, after he was prescribed medication containing opioids following a visit to the dentist, the actor suffered a relapse.
Ellingson's father told the US magazine TMZ that he had recently been feeling better. The death, therefore, came as a surprise to the family.
Evan Ellingson wanted to use his addiction past to help others.
In a statement, the family said of the former child star: "Evan was one of the most loving people who loved Jesus with all his heart. He had a child-like soul and a smile that lit up the room. He was always thinking of others and wanted to use his problems to help other addicts, to give them hope."
Evan Ellingson was discovered in a skate park at the age of ten and went on to act in commercials and TV shows. In 2007, he took on the role of Josh Bauer in the hit series "24" alongside Kiefer Sutherland.

Ellingson's daughter Brooklynn was born in 2008, and the former child star retired from the film industry in 2010.
The 35-year-old was not married but had a happy relationship with his girlfriend, Kaysha Dial. The young woman wrote on Instagram: "Evan was my person. I'm grateful we were allowed to fall in love, and I wouldn't trade any of the things we experienced together." He was the "love of her life."
