Helene Galen, Festival Vice Chair, and Jamie Kabler held a Pre-Palm Springs International Film Festival Party to celebrate the PSIFF at a private residence in Rancho Mirage. Over 350 guests filled this beautiful home and its patio. The patio was covered with a huge heated tent. Swimmers floated in the pool while guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers. A buffet was offered with a variety of foods and desserts. Valet service was provided as this was a gated community with limited parking.

Searchlights lit up the area for guests to find the party. An orchestra played as everyone entered the home. Helene and Jamie greeted each guest as they arrived. Senator Barbara Boxer, mayors and other local community leaders were in attendance. Palm Springs Film Festival dignitaries such as PSIFF Chairman Harold Matzner, and Gala Chair Jim Houston received many thanks for another successful Festival.

PSIFF emcee and hostess Mary Hart came with her husband Burt Sugarman. Celebrity Charro laughed and posed for photos while pretending to dance with Jamie Kabler. The iconic Carol Channing braved the night air in her wheelchair to be a part of this grand party. PSIFF friends, staff, donors participants, celebrities and the elite of Palm Springs were a part of this event on Friday night Jan 4th before the grand PSIFF Gala.

Each guest was given a signed copy of the Coffee table book, AUDREY The 60’s, written by David Wills. David personalized each autograph in this book of beautiful photographs of Audrey Hepburn, actress and icon of the 60’s. A lovely gift to remember this fantastic party.
