COACHELLA, Calif. – The City of Coachella is turning up the heat—and the fun—for its Annual Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 3rd, at Bagdouma Park, with festivities running from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m.
This year, the event starts just a bit later than usual but more than makes up for it with an extra 30 minutes of summer magic. The evening promises a perfect blend of old-fashioned Americana and modern fun, all wrapped in red, white, and blue.
Families can look forward to a carnival-style atmosphere complete with thrilling rides, classic midway games, and local food trucks ready to serve up everything from funnel cakes to tacos. A live DJ will keep the energy high, spinning festive beats while kids (and brave adults) test their skills at the pie-eating contest—always a fan-favorite and a guaranteed photo op.
As the sun sets over the Coachella Valley, all eyes will turn skyward for the grand fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m., lighting up the night with a dazzling display of patriotic sparkle.
The event is free and open to the public, so bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and festive spirit to Bagdouma Park, 51-723 Douma Street. It’s the city’s way of celebrating freedom, family, and the fun that makes Coachella shine.
Happy Independence Day—Coachella-style!
